A Life of Infinite Possibilities

Life should be a journey without limitations, yet we are often bound by societal expectations and the constraints of age.

We assume that our identity dictates what is appropriate for our age.

However, we overlook the fact that life itself is an adventure, and adventure means breaking conventions, exploring different possibilities, and experiencing the richness of life. Only by doing so can we discover the flexibility and potential within ourselves.

For me, this unknown potential holds an immense attraction.

It's not about chasing the result, but rather enjoying the growth and rewards along the way. Every creative step forward comes from a deep internal drive, as I eagerly anticipate new challenges and the arrival of new moments.

I look forward to continually exploring the unknown and its possibilities, weaving and creating a unique life story of my own.– Jenny Chen

Artist Biography

Jenny Chen has long resided in New York. She graduated with a Master of Fine Arts degree from Pratt Institute in New York in 1990, holding her first solo exhibition at the Institute the same year. She currently lives in Taipei, working as a professional artist. Since 1987, she has exhibited at various institutions and galleries, including the Taipei Fine Arts Museum, Lincoln Center in New York, the International Gallery in Paris, the Grand Palais, the 17th Asian International Art Exhibition in Seoul (2002), the Shanghai Art Museum (2003), and the Kuandu Museum of Fine Arts in Taipei (2010). Her works have been collected by the Pratt Institute in the U.S., Taipei Fine Arts Museum, Kaohsiung Museum of Fine Arts, Shanghai Art Museum, and the National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts, among others.

Jenny Chen’s work is based on an unrestrained, highly personal concept of free creation. With "Life and Nature" as the central theme, she allows the paint to flow freely, without any predetermined direction, letting the colors guide her in creating spontaneous landscapes. She believes that art cannot be separated from life, as artistic creation reflects the concept of all living things. Furthermore, she believes art arises from intuition, which possesses an enduring nature unaffected by time or space.
